I love this product and am amazed I got it at the price I did. It’s the best flat iron I’ve ever used!

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!! ALMOST LIT ON FIRE
Yes, the chi got my hair VERY straight. It also gave me horrible split ends and bad hair breakage up near my part, but I was willing to deal with it because it straightened my hair so well!

HOWEVER, yesterday it stopped working after about 8 months of use. Not only did it stop working, it created a HUGE spark, one that was so big I was sure that it would light on fire. This wasn’t just mine - I know of plenty of people to whom this has happened. Of course, my warranty was void since I bought it on amazon. Go figure.

There are a ton of other flat irons out there that get just as hot as the chi and have ceramic plates. Buy one of those!!

Good - but not as good as I expected
After hearing by word of mouth how great the CHI iron is and reading the rave reviews on Amazon I had high hopes for this iron. My hair is long, very thick, and very curly. I was using a cheapie Revlon straightener that got hot enough for me, but it would lose heat and I had to go over sections of my hair several times to straighten it. It didn’t cause me enough trouble that I wanted to buy another straighter though. Until I found out it’s bad to wrap the cord around the iron because it messes up the cord. One morning my old iron sparked at me so I realized it was time for a new one. On a recommendation from my cousin/stylist, my mom, co-workers, etc I was told it was worth it to buy the CHI. So I bought it here expecting to be blown away. Don’t get me wrong, it is a good iron, and it does hold it’s heat (unlike ANY cheapie irons, even the ones that say they don’t lose heat) but I still have to straighten my unruly hair in sections and I still have to go over some sections more than once. So I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I would be. I also now have to blow dry all my hair first and then straigten it all instead of blow drying a section and then straigtening a section because my blow drier and this straigtener both have big plugs. That being said, it does work better than my old straigtener because it doesn’t lose heat. I also love the little velcro strap that came on the cord that way I can wrap it up without wrapping it around the iron. Is it worth the money? I guess so because it doesn’t lose heat, but it’s not the miracle product the rave reviews on here claim it to be. At least not for my hair.

Decent product
I’m really sensitive to light when going to sleep, so I’ve become quite used to wearing blindfolds. These are built out of a nice fabric and will probably last a while. If you have a larger nose, this might still allow some light in around the nose, but it’s better than others I’ve worn. Lastly, because of the contours or bumps around the eyes if you sleep on your side, it might be a little uncomfortable since the bump may fall on the side of your face a little. Overall, it does what it’s supposed to.

Worth Buying

I have used these products for a week, And here is my thought:
The Mask is very comfortable to wear, but the things that go around your head isn’t. I have a bad habit of moving my head UP and DOWN when I sleep, and that thingy kind of scratch my ear a little bit. It would be much better if they use different material for that. If you use this on airplane, then it won’t be your concern.
About the light leaks in to from the nose, It really depends on your nose shape. I have a wide and short nose, so the light does leak inside JUST a little bit. However, it doesn’t effect me that much because if you close your eyes with the mask on, even the light leaked inside, you wouldn’t even notice. If your nose is longer than my Asian nose, you probably won’t run into this problem.
About the ear plug, it works well. They are desire to block from small middle noise. Small noise can be like people walk by if you sleep on the couch or someone cooking while you’re on the living room. Middle noise could be some one slam the front door, or a glass of water falls down and break. Large noise may be construction noise or someone screaming. It’s not extremely comfortable to wear. It will take some times to get used to it. And It allows you to roll over or side sleeping.
The Pouch is nice looking, you can use it for a small camera or carry changes around.
Overall, I would highly recommend this product, especially if you want to have a good sleep on the air plane.

Not bad, but light still gets in
This product is nice because I can open my eyes while the mask is on without having my eyelids touch the mask. Unfortunately, light still gets in at the bottom around my nose. I think this mask only blocks out all the light for some people. I suspect that the wider your nose is, the more likely this product will block out all the light. Since it’s relatively high priced, I expected more out of it. I would not buy another one or recommend it for the price.
